From major festival stages to intimate piano lounges, Michael "Detroit Mike" Hepner has spent a lifetime connecting people through music.

A versatile keyboardist, composer, and entertainer, Michael's musical journey began in Michigan and led to recording contracts, national touring, and performances alongside legendary artists including Buddy Guy, The Beach Boys, Jim Belushi, Bobby Rush, and many other acclaimed performers throughout the blues, jazz, rock, and contemporary Christian music worlds.

Known for his dynamic Hammond organ and piano performances, Michael has appeared at festivals and venues across the country and was honored to be selected as a Hammond Artist. He has been inducted into the Las Vegas Fans Entertainers Hall of Fame and has earned multiple International Blues Challenge semi-final appearances with award-winning bands.

Throughout his career, Michael has worn many hats—touring musician, recording artist, producer, songwriter and bandleader.. His passion for live music inspired him to create and host "Band Night at the Summit" in Las Vegas, helping provide opportunities for countless musicians and bands.

Today, based in Southwest Florida, Michael performs in a variety of settings—from solo piano engagements and duo and band performances to festival stages with leading regional and national artists, including the multi-award winning Trey Wanvig Band. He also serves as a founding member of Shari Frink and The Mission, a faith-based band dedicated to sharing hope and the love of Christ through music.

When asked what drives him after decades in music, Michael's answer is simple:

"The greatest reward isn't applause—it's knowing that the music touched someone's heart. When music creates a connection between people, that's when something special happens."
